Thirty-six pairs of enthusiastic players turned out for the Waverley Bridge Club annual fundraising day in March, and we are delighted to report that the event raised more than $3,000 for JMB. It’s the fifth year WBC has organised this special event, and we thank everyone for their efforts – in particular, Laura Ginnan and Peter Holland who worked tirelessly in the kitchen and on the BBQ to provide much- appreciated refreshment throughout the day. Very special thanks indeed to Mary Elson, the Waverley Bridge Club committee and volunteers, who have given us so much of their time and support over the years.
James MB’s grandmother Bev joined in, and – to much surprise – his father Andrew stepped up to the mark with his mate Simon Hinge to win the event. A fun day for all, and we hope very much to see all bridge enthusiasts again next year.
