The 2016 Medibank Melbourne Marathon Festival is coming to town on October 16th. This is your chance to support JMB and run for those who can’t.
Last year the support we had from our team runners and fundraisers resulted in $47,500 that we have been able to distribute to James and other young Australians with an acquired brain injury, to help pay for care, therapy, special equipment or community access activities. We know it has made a genuine difference to their comfort and quality of life, and we couldn’t have done it without the efforts of our Melbourne Marathon teams.
If you’re thinking of doing it all over again this year, or giving it a go for the first time, now’s the time to commit, and we would really love to have you on our team in 2016.
This year we want to expand our funding program further, and we can only do that with a bit of extra help from our supporters. So how about it? Register for your event now, and make sure you join the JMB team. Then create your fundraising page in support of JMB Foundation.
Want to support JMB but not keen on running? You can help us by volunteering as a course marshal. We need a few hundred enthusiastic people to keep things in order along the marathon route on the day. If you don’t mind an early start and you want to be part of the action, we can guarantee you’ll enjoy this experience! Let us know if you’d like more information or you want to sign up as a volunteer. Email info@jmbfoundation.org.au now.
In the meantime, here are a few memories from last year’s Marathon. We are sure that everyone who ran or volunteered for JMB had a great day and lots of fun. Don’t miss out in 2016!
