ROI Connect’s Hair Raising Fundraiser

On Friday 2nd August 2013, Dave Pocock and his colleague Simon McMahon made good on a promise to wax their chests to help raise funds for The JMB Foundation.

It began as bit of a PR stunt from the guys as they offered to wax their chests for a charity if they could exceed 100 ‘Likes’ on the ROI Connect Facebook page. In excess of 100 ‘likes’ was reached in just a couple of hours. The boys honoured their commitment, raising over $1000 in just two weeks. You can still donate.

The end result looks a little too much like giving birth. It was a courageous effort, evident in the following video. See for yourself.

The waxing event was a success, with the team managing to drum up over $1200.

ROI Connect is a Melbourne based Digital Marketing Company headed by Old Carey Grammarian Dave Pocock. As a member of the Carey Community Dave felt the full force of James’s tragic injury. The JMB Foundation appreciates the additional support provided by ROI connect in optimising it’s website.

Simon, Dave and The JMB Foundation would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff of roi.com.au & ROI Connect, family and friends, Old Carey Football Club and Nth Balwyn Cricket Club for all their donations and support in helping exceed the target of $1000. We appreciate their ongoing support.
