We’re delighted to report that a team from the Fairfield Osteopathic Clinic, together with their friends and family, managed to raise $1950 for the JMB Foundation by participating in the Run Melbourne event on 27th July 2014.

People of a range of ages participated, including the owners of Fairfield Osteopathic Clinic and their children of just five and eight years old!

The idea to support JMB came from Aileen Butchart, Fairfield resident and office manager at Fairfield Osteopathic Clinic.

“I think organisations like the JMB Foundation often get lost when there are so many deserving causes out there,” Aileen said. “As a parent, everyone wants their kids to be happy and safe in their day to day life. But if tragedy was to strike and support was needed, charities such as the JMB Foundation can help families to cope, so it’s really important that we support them.”

The participants at Fairfield Osteo met the challenges of the run by helping to keep each other on track with tune-ups.

“My 40-something-year-old body had its ups and downs [during the run] but it made a difference having team members to motivate and provide advice as needed,” naturopath Vicki van der Meer said.  “I hope next year we can bring our clients on board to help improve their health and raise money for a great cause at the same time.”

The JMB Foundation extends its warmest thanks to the Fairfield Osteo team for this great show of support.
